A Workshop concerning Excellency in interdisciplinary research in the field on Management

The members of the team implementing the project Academic Advance: dezvoltarea capacității de cercetare interdisciplinară de excelență a SNSPA în domeniul Management [Academic Advance: developing the interdisciplinary research excellence capacity of SNSPA in the field of Management] organize the workshop “Bridging diversity: interdisciplinary collaborations in management studies” in partnership with the Doctoral School in Management from SNSPA.

 

The event will take place on Webex, on October 22nd 2021, starting with 17.00 (EET). This workshop closes the series of events organized under the STRATEGICA International Conference 2021. Attendance is open to experienced researchers, STRATEGICA participants, and to PhD students of CIVICA.

 

The discussions will cover the relationships among different terms such as interdisciplinary research, multidisciplinary, and transdisciplinary approaches; the challenges and benefits of interdisciplinary collaborations; the drivers of research achievements, and some of the main challenges and aspects determining vivid debates among passionate researchers.

 

The keynote speakers are:

  • Professor Adriana Zaiț, Director of the Doctoral School in Economy and Business Administration, A.I. Cuza University, Romania. Adriana Zaiţ is Professor of Marketing, Public Relations and Business Research Methods at the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration, University Alexandru Ioan Cuza Iaşi, Romania. She received her Master of Arts in Economics from University of Nebraska at Omaha, USA, and her PhD in Econometrics from the Alexandru Ioan Cuza University of Iaşi. Her main teaching and research interests lie in the areas of services and educational marketing, academic motivation and research productivity, brand communication strategy, cross-cultural issues in entrepreneurship, smart cities. She has published widely on these topics in books, journals and conference proceedings. Presently, Zaiţ is an active member of the PGV research network, serves on editorial boards, executive and program committees for international and national journals and conferences.

  • Professor Elena-Mădălina Vătămănescu, Faculty of Management (SNSPA), Bucharest, Romania. She is Head of the Centre for Research in Management and Managing Editor of Management Dynamics in the Knowledge Economy journal. She holds two PhDs in Communication Sciences (SNSPA) and in Economics and International Business (Bucharest University of Economic Studies). In June 2018, she received her habilitation in Management. She is Director of Business Systems Laboratory (BSLab) Romania, Associate Editor for the Kybernetes journal and Full Member of the International Association for Knowledge Management. She has served as a reviewer for top-ranked journals like: Journal of Knowledge Management, Technological Forecasting and Social Change Transfer, Journal of Technology Transfer, Program – Electronic Library and Information Systems, International Business Review, Journal of Small Business Management, Management Decision, etc..

  • Professor Živilė Stankevičiūtė, Kaunas University of Technology, Lithuania. Živilė Stankevičiūtė, PhD in Management, is associate professor at Sustainable Management research group, School of Economics and Business, Kaunas University of Technology, Lithuania. Her doctoral dissertation on Sustainable Human Resource Management has been recognised internationally: she got Baltic University Programme Annual Award for the Best PhD defended in 2015. Her research interests are: Sustainable Human Resource Management, Employee Wellbeing, Digital Transformations, Corporate Social Responsibility, Sustainable Development. She is a member of National Expert Council for sustainable development goals at Lithuanian Responsible Business Association. Lecturing includes courses on Sustainable Development, Employee Performance Management, Human Analytics.

 

The event is moderated by Professor Florina Pînzaru, project director and Dean of the Faculty of Management, SNSPA, Romania.
