WEBINAR: “The Energy Crisis. Eastern and South-Eastern Europe between EU’s Green policies and Russia’s supply limitations”

Tuesday, November 23rd, at 2 PM EEST/ 1 PM CEST, the team of Eastern and South-Eastern Europe Fanel Network (ESEE-Fanel) organizes the online event „The Energy Crisis. Eastern and South-Eastern Europe between EU’s Green policies and Russia’s supply limitations”. This is the second webinar associated with the project “Developing the Wider Black Sea and ESE Europe Fanel Network of Women Experts in International Relations”, developed by SNSPA and the Black Sea Trust for Regional Cooperation. The event will be transmitted live on the Facebook page of ESEE Fanel.

The webinar aims at discussing the European Union’s options for maintaining its goals for a green energy transition, while facing the volatility of prices and supply on the regional and global energy market.

Some of the main topics to be addressed during the event refer to the main drivers of the energy crisis in Europe, the European Union’s strategy for tackling its energy dependence on Russia, the effects that the energy crunch has on the Eastern and South-Eastern European countries, the European Union’s transition to green energy, and the implications that this transition may have on the relations between the European Union and Russia.

The webinar will be moderated by Ana-Maria ANGHELESCU, PhD candidate in Political Studies at SNSPA, and hosted by Professor Liliana POPESCU, SNSPA Vice-Rector for International Relations.

The event is open to women representatives of public authorities, members of the academic community, journalists, human rights activists, and other interested parties.

Eastern and South-Eastern Europe Fanel Network is the network of women experts in International Relations from the East and South-east of Europe, and from the extended Black Sea region, founded by Professor Liliana Popescu, developed with the support of SNSPA, co-financed by the German Marshall Fund of the United States (GMF) – Black Sea Trust for Regional Cooperation and implemented with the support of UN Youth Romania, and other partners.
