The CIVICA alliance has proudly unveiled the names of 17 accomplished academics selected for its\u00a0fourth call of the Faculty Short Visits programme<\/a>, extending from this academic year through to May 2025. This initiative marks a significant effort to bolster interdisciplinary research and educational innovation across European social sciences universities.<\/p>\n

Under this unique programme, faculty and postdoctoral researchers from CIVICA member institutions will engage in short-term visits at partner universities. These opportunities are designed to accelerate scholarly work, foster collaborative research projects, and build lasting academic relationships.<\/p>\n

The selection of candidates was meticulously conducted by a committee of vice-presidents for research and senior faculty, ensuring each participant was chosen for their strong and innovative research proposals. These proposals encompass approximately 50 activities, ranging from CIVICA talks, workshops, seminar series and conferences, to\u00a0student-faculty research groups and specialised lectures for early-stage researchers.<\/p>\n

This broad array of activities guarantees that both the selected participants and the broader CIVICA community will greatly benefit from these enriched academic opportunities.<\/strong><\/p>\n

This latest cohort of 17 scholars adds to the\u00a0inaugural group of 26 selected in the initial round<\/a>\u00a0launched last May and the\u00a0second group of 18 scholars selected in December<\/a>\u00a0of the previous year. Concurrently, the\u00a0third cohort of visiting faculty<\/a>\u00a0is presently immersed in enriching visits across various member institutions within the CIVICA alliance.<\/p>\n
