We offer 44 master’s programmes taught in Romanian and 13 master’s programmes taught in English.

MA programmes in English

Master’s degree programmes correspond to 120 transferable study credits. In full-time education, master’s degree studies normally last for is of 1 – 2 years and this correspond to 60 transferable study credits for one year of study.

 

Faculty of Public Administration

MA in Public Sector Management

Explore the world of theory and practice of the public sector. Get relevant knowledge on what managing public organizations means and how you can acquire a top public manager position. Gain a strong inter-disciplinary theoretical foundation in e-governance, European resources, quality management, project management, public marketing and non-profit organizations. Acquire the skills that will enable you to effectively and efficiently develop and implement strategic planning for the public sector. The MA programme Public Sector Management aims at developing competencies and skills necessary to all interested parties in working inside or with the public sector.

Admission process for EU citizens: The admission exam average is calculated based on the following:

  • Undergraduate Diploma Average (60%)
  • Academic Performance Average (40%)

Motivation Letter

In addition to the admission exam, applicants are required to submit a motivation letter in English. The motivation letter will be evaluated on a pass/fail basis and will not be included in the calculation of the final admission grade. Motivation Letter Guidelines, here.

Faculty of Communication and Public Relations

MA in Communication and EU Affairs

The MA program in Communication and EU Affairs aims to train specialists in communication and European Affairs. The program targets candidates who are interested in European issues and communication in the European context. Candidates are graduates of programs in communication and public relations, political science, journalism, economic studies, humanities (philosophy, history).

Admission process for EU citizens: Candidates must upload a motivation letter written in English (750 – 1000 words). The letter will describe the motivation for chosing the MA program, or it will discuss a topic from the bibliography. Read more.

MA in Communication and Advertising

The programmes targets candidates who are interested in a career in advertising, public relations, marketing or media. The programmes focuses equally on practical approaches (through courses on advertising, marketing and branding, political communication, public relations) and theoretical input (through courses on the theory of communication, mass media, culture and communication, theory of argumentation).

Msc in Project Management

The MSc in Project Management is one of the 95 programmes accredited by the PMI Global Accreditation Center for Project Management Education Programmes GAC. The MSc in Project Management aims at building project management competences for specialists in corporations, NGOs, and public administration, as well as for entrepreneurs.

Admission process for EU citizens: Candidates must upload a PowerPoint (ppt/x) presentation. The presentation should be drafted in English and it should tackle one of the suggested topics. Read more.

Faculty of Management

MA in Programs and Investments Management

On-campus accredited program with an international audience, conceived for specialists who manage large development programs, or investments aimed at inducing an organizational change in large and very large companies and public administration structures. The only MA in Romania awarding its graduates the program manager qualification.

Admission process for EU citizens: The admission exam for the Master’s Degree Program is composed of:

  • 40% – the average grade of the Bachelor’s Degree exam
  • 60% – the average of the grades obtained during the undergraduate studies

Additional Requirements: Candidates must additionally upload a motivation letter in English. This letter is required to certify the candidates’ language proficiency, is graded as “admitted” or “rejected” and does not count towards the admission grade.

MA in Management and Digital Innovation

Preparing students for managing in the future, our on-campus accredited program is taught in English. It aims to develop digital skills that influence core business skills, emphasizing leadership and strategies through innovation. The program is adapted for the needs of Innovation Managers, technical experts who target management positions, and managers who want to be ready for digital transformation.

MA in European Politics and Society

The MA Programme is open to all graduates and professionals interested in the social and political processes in Europe and their EU-level dynamic. The programme focuses on key social and political actors – institutions, parties, trade-unions, companies, NGO’s and their interactions in shaping the national and EU institutions and policies.
The programme is especially well suited to explore the major challenges to the European integration process, taking a bottom-up perspective, and following the interplay of ideas, agendas and resources at national level and how they converge in producing European trends, rules, and disruptions. In a rather unique approach for the country and the region, the programme offers new and insightful courses addressing the European social, environmental and migration issues.

MA in Environmental Studies and Sustainable Development
The Master’s mission is an applied one, aiming to train public policy experts in areas relevant to environmental protection and sustainable development, focusing on the problems currently faced by Romania and the European Union. The programme is facilitating the access of employees from central and local public administration to participate in projects related to the implementation of public policies with an impact on the environment and sustainable development to develop their skills and abilities.

MA in Labour Studies
This programme is designed for graduate students interested in analyzing labour relations, labour market policies, relations between unions, firms and government, models of social and economic institutions, interest groups, social concertation, recruiting and training of employees, producing predictive analyses and strategies. The programme has an interdisciplinary approach: political science, sociology, law, economics, anthropology, organizational psychology. It offers organized internship at private companies, public institutions, NGOs. The MA Programme in Labour Studies has joined in 2016 the European Master in Labour Studies Network.

Department of International Relations and European Integration

MA in Security and Diplomacy

The programme allows students to explore the complexities and processes involved in global politics and within the nowadays international system. The courses provide exposure to key sub-disciplines and relevant issues such as globalization, human rights, humanitarian studies, economic development, regional security complex, regional studies, theories of international relations, foreign policy strategy, intelligence studies, security studies, public diplomacy, preventive diplomacy, diplomatic practice and protocol. The programme is addressed to university graduates that are interested in developing a diplomatic career for which deepening the study of security and diplomacy is highly relevant.

MA in Development, International Cooperation and Humanitarian Aid
The programme assigns a particular importance to a better understanding of certain problems in the development field: cooperation, poverty, environment, economic development, social and human development. The programme entails a close link between theories and practices required to explore and understand the complexity of the development area. The available curriculum is built on a theoretical background that is combined with training courses conducted in a manner that allows students to acquire the right competences and proficiency, as well as special skills in policy and project evaluation, management and planning methods

How to Apply: 

MA in Latin-American Studies
This programme is an initiative of the Institute of Latin American Studies, SNSPA and is the first programme of this kind in Romania. The programme aims to become a regional point of interest for people who want to complete their training in international relations and to acquire expertise in Latin American issues. This programme is bilingual, in Spanish and English, so that the courses are held in two internationally used languages, vital for facilitating students’ access to information, documents and resources of the Latin America and Caribbean region.
