Future directions of action for the development of cooperation between SNSPA and CEU.
During January 9-10, 2023, Remus Pricopie, the rector of the National University of Political Studies and Public Administration (SNSPA), visited the Central European University (CEU) in Vienna. Both universities are part of the CIVICA – European University of Social Sciences, alongside eight other renowned European higher education institutions.
In the first part of the visit to CEU, Professor Pricopie participated in the kick-off meeting for the new CIVICA Research activities, a component developed by the members of the CIVICA alliance.
The central moment of the visit was the encounter with Professor Shalini Randeria, President and Rector of CEU. The discussions between the two rectors aimed to strengthen the long-standing cooperation between SNSPA and CEU, both members of CIVICA and the Open Society University Network (OSUN), a global network of higher education, cultural and research institutions co-founded by CEU. Discussions outlined the future directions for cooperation development between the two universities. Therefore, common goals were established as follows:
- Increase the number of joint courses,
- Extend mobilities for students and teachers,
- Develop joint research projects.
CIVICA – The European University of Social Sciences unites ten leading European higher education institutions in the social sciences, humanities, business management and public policy, with a total of 72,000 students & PhDs and 13,000 academic staff.
