Achieving personalised education through current innovations

Ahead of the 3 June CIVICA conference on “Digitalisation and the Future of Higher Education,” Adrian Curaj examines how technological changes challenge universities to adapt.

Adrian Curaj is Professor and Head of the UNESCO Chair on Science and Innovation Policies at the National University of Political Studies and Public Administration, Romania (SNSPA). In 2015-2016, he served as Romania’s Minister of Education.

In the video below, he reflects on how we can reach the full potential of digital transformation in education by exploring and piloting the use of technology, and understanding its full consequences. Professor Curaj envisions that current developments in AI and big data could greatly aid in designing personalised education, and believes policymakers should re-affirm their support for higher education institutions in the digital transformation.

Sign up for the CIVICA conference on “Digitalisation and the Future of Higher Education” on 3 June (5:15-6:45pm CET) to learn more about the way current innovations shape the future of education, from the perspective of policymakers, scholars, practitioners and students from the CIVICA alliance and beyond.
