The project coordinator, Prof Florina Pînzaru, Dean of the Faculty of Management at SNSPA, successfully brought together professors and experts in management, governmental studies, leadership, economics, communication, public administration, and international relations.

As part of the CIVICA public lecture series "Tours d'Europe," SNSPA hosted an online debate on the impact of fake news and disinformation on democracy. The event took place on 17 March 2022 and gathered over 200 participants: professors, researchers, and students from the CIVICA alliance and beyond, and representatives of the public sector.

This event will allow the research team to present the preliminary results of research and hear from a series of speakers from Romania, Bulgaria and Germany. The presentation will include a comparison of the legislative frameworks dedicated to fighting antisemitism in the three countries.

The conference will shed light on the daunting challenges that Europe faces in an unstable global landscape, in particular challenges related to authoritarianism and international security.

The six teams selected for seed funding will tackle research ranging from counterterrorism to attitudes towards COVID-19 vaccines.
