On 29–30 October 2026, the Faculty of Management (SNSPA), in partnership with the National Bank of Romania and the Romanian Academic Society of Management, will organize in Bucharest the 14th edition of the STRATEGICA International Conference. This year’s theme is “Transforming Economic and Organizational Models”.
STRATEGICA 2026 invites researchers, academics, PhD and postdoctoral students, experts, and professionals from the public and private sectors to explore how economic and organizational models are evolving in a changing institutional, technological, and social landscape. The conference aims to provide an international platform for academic dialogue on the transformations shaping economies, organizations, markets, and societies.
Now at its 14th edition, STRATEGICA has become a recognized meeting point for scholars interested in the evolution of economic and organizational systems. Over the years, the conference has brought together more than 650 academics and researchers from over 30 countries across five continents, as well as 35 internationally reputed keynote speakers.
The 2026 edition is structured around three main thematic pillars: Economic Systems & Institutional Evolution, focusing on institutions, policies, markets, and organizational governance in transforming economies; Social & Economic Alternatives, addressing emerging models for social well-being, sustainability, and inclusive development; and Technology, Markets & Organizational Performance, dedicated to digital transformation, market behavior, knowledge systems, and performance drivers. Contributions addressing human dynamics, including leadership, work practices, well-being, ethics, and stakeholder engagement, are welcome across all conference tracks.
The conference will feature keynote speeches delivered by Angela Achiței, social entrepreneur and international expert in social economy and social inclusion; Valentina Carbone, Professor of Sustainability and Supply Chain Management at ESCP Business School, Paris; and Nóra Obermayer, Full Professor at the Faculty of Business and Economics, University of Pannonia, Hungary. Their contributions will address key topics related to economic and organizational transformation, from social economy, impact-driven entrepreneurship, and social innovation to sustainability in supply chains, digitalization, knowledge management, artificial intelligence, and organizational change.
STRATEGICA 2026 also launches its Call for Papers. Authors are invited to submit extended abstracts of 800–1,000 words, summarizing the research objectives, theoretical framework, methodology, and expected contributions. The deadline for extended abstract submission is 15 July 2026.
High-quality contributions will have several publication opportunities. A curated selection of accepted full papers will be published in a proceedings volume, following a rigorous editorial process coordinated by an international scientific committee. Outstanding papers may also be invited for submission to associated academic journals indexed in international databases, including Management Dynamics in the Knowledge Economy, Modern Management Systems, and Culture. Society. Economy. Politics. Publication in these journals remains subject to each journal’s independent peer-review process.
Through its interdisciplinary focus and international profile, STRATEGICA 2026 aims to contribute to a deeper understanding of contemporary economic, organizational, and social transformations. The conference also reinforces the role of the Faculty of Management (SNSPA) in promoting academic research, innovation, and international cooperation in the fields of management, economics, public policy, technology studies, and related disciplines.
