“Suveranitate. De la Westfalia la Ucraina”. Curs-eveniment, deschis tuturor masteranzilor și doctoranzilor SNSPA

Miercuri, 16 noiembrie 2022, echipa Masteratului European Politics and Society din cadrul Facultății de Științe Politice (SNSPA) organizează un curs-eveniment, cu tema “Sovereignty. From Westphalia to Ukraine”, susținut de Dr. Cornelia Baciu, Departmentul Științe Politice, Universitatea din Copenhaga.

 

Cursul, adresat masteranzilor și doctoranzilor SNSPA, se va desfășura la sediul SNSPA (Bd. Expoziției 30A), Parter, Sala Multifuncțională, începând cu ora 18:00.

Bio

Dr. Cornelia Baciu is a Researcher at the Department of Political Science and Centre for Military Studies, University of Copenhagen. She specialised in international security organizations and conflict research. Cornelia Baciu is Deputy Convener of the BISA Foreign Policy Working Group and founding Director of the Research Network ‘European Security and Strategy’.

 

Prior to joining the University of Copenhagen, she was a postdoctoral fellow at the Institute for Peace Research and Security Policy at the University of Hamburg, and DAAD-Postdoctoral Fellow in the program ‘United States, Europe, and World Order’ at Johns Hopkins University in Washington, D.C. She was a visiting scholar at the University of Southern Denmark, Odense and Jawaharlal Nehru University in New Delhi, and a Teaching Fellow at the University of Maynooth. She holds degrees from Dublin City University, University of Konstanz and Alexandru Ioan Cuza University of Iasi. Cornelia Baciu conducted extensive field research in conflict zones in South Asia, as well as at NATO and EU headquarters, and at ministries of foreign affairs and defense in several European countries and the US.

 

Her publications include ‘Civil-Military Relations and Global Security Governance. Strategy, Hybrid Orders and the Case of Pakistan’ London and New York: Routledge (2021) and a co-edited volume together with John Doyle, ‘Peace, Security and Defence Cooperation in Post-Brexit Europe. Risks and Opportunities’ Cham: Springer International Publishing (2019).
